On April 29, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared photos celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary on their official Instagram accounts. The image shows the couple lying on the grass with their three children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, eight, in a relaxing outdoor setting. The family is dressed in warm weather clothing.
The caption simply read, “Celebrating 15 years of marriage ❤️.”
The photo also features the family’s black cocker spaniel, Ora, and William can be seen reaching out to pet the dog. A second dog, believed to be a new addition to the family, can be seen near William’s head. The portrait was taken by photographer Matt Porteous during a recent family trip to Cornwall, continuing his ongoing work with the Welsh family on personal milestones, including Prince Louis’ recent birthday portrait.
The anniversary marks 15 years since Prince William and Duchess Kate married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, following their engagement the previous year. The two first met while attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
The new images are a more candid glimpse into their family relationship and come less than a week after the couple shared a portrait in honor of Louis’ eighth birthday.
