He is a big fan of them.
Timothée Chalamet might as well be made an honorary Knick at this point. The “Marty Supreme” star partied with the players in Seville, New York on Monday night and felt “he was part of the team,” a spy told Page Six.
“He was very friendly with the players and very happy… dancing and playing with everyone. It was like he was a teammate. They were very enthusiastic,” they added.
Chalamet arrived alone at the party and was said to be in “very high spirits” as he hung out with other players including Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mohamed Diawara and Josh Hart. “He was overjoyed,” a source said of Chalamet.
Kit Harington, Jim Jones, Fabolous, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Ciara and Russell Wilson also performed on the night. Guests feasted on Scarpetta’s cuisine and were treated to performances by A$AP Ferg and Fetty Wap.
I heard that the young players teased John Meadow of LDV Hospitality, who hosted the party, by calling him “sir”. The highlight of the night is said to be when the champions received custom-made bottles of Don Julio 1942 engraved to commemorate their historic victory.
The players have been celebrating non-stop ever since they defeated the San Antonio Spurs to win the championship for the first time since 1973. On Sunday, David Rodritz opened a private members-only spot, the Fly Fish Club, to host a victory party for NBA stars, where players went wild until 3 a.m.
“The players all had tremendous vigor and energy,” Rodritz exclusively told Page Six. “They had a lot of chemistry. Natural chemistry, the way they moved on the court, that continued in the Fly Fish Club. It was collaborative. There was so much love and fun and joy.”
Trey Jemison III and Kevin McCuller Jr. were spotted celebrating with their wives and girlfriends at Sushi by Bow’s Times Square location. Perhaps Chalamet recommended it. (He and Kylie Jenner went on a double date at a Lower East Side store last month).
The players’ party in Seville ended around 3:30 a.m., giving them plenty of time to rest before Thursday’s big parade.
