I see these amazing faces and people who have done so much extraordinary work with us. I thought a lot about what I wanted to say tonight, and I decided I wanted to do two things.
“First of all, I wanted to end this very quickly because I want you all to spend some time talking to each other. Secondly, I wanted to say that this past year has been amazing in some ways for you all. You guys are just a dream partner. We all spend a lot of time at Disney thinking about who we want to partner with, and looking at this crowd, I have to say, this is our dream.
“And the second thing I want to say is, we see people who have been to parties like this many times. But we also want to say, ‘Welcome’ to those who are joining us for the first time. We’ve met some wonderful new partners whose work is so meaningful and beautiful, and we’re so proud of it. So Seth, this is a toast to television. And to people like you. , a toast to our long-time partners, and a big welcome to all our new partners. On behalf of everyone at Disney, (new CEO) Josh (D’Amaro), (Disney Entertainment Studios chairman) Alan Bergman, and (FX boss) John Landgraf, and the new head of Disney Entertainment Television, Debra O’Connell.”
