Amanda Batula called West Wilson’s explanation of how their relationship began during “Summer House: The Aftermath” a “bullshit.”
Batula spoke with Lindsay Hubbard a month after filming the season 10 reunion, claiming that Wilson “pursued” her and not the other way around.
But Hubbard said she heard something else during Tuesday’s bonus episode.
“He told Ciara (Miller) that you were into him and you were into him. Nothing physical happened at that point,” Hubbard, 39, said. “And that was March 6th.”
a shocked Batula, 34, asked Hubbard. “Did he say I was into him and that I was obsessed with him?”
When Hubbard nodded, Batula laughed and said, “That’s so bad. It’s funny.”
Batula claimed that Wilson, 31, was “actively messaging her and trying to spend time with her” in a group chat, but that she always declined his invitations. She also showed Hubbard the message.
In a Nov. 9 text message exchange, Wilson invited Batula and her friend Katie DeLuca to come to a bar, to which Batula responded, “They’re going to hate me, I can’t. I’m leaving at 7 a.m. tomorrow for a cast trip and I’m going straight to BravoCon.”
Wilson also asked Batula to hang out in a group chat on Nov. 22, but Batula responded by saying he was “laying down” at home with his mother and dogs.
Batula told Hubbard that she eventually went to Wilson’s apartment with others on January 17.
“We were there and we were eating pizza, which was weird to me,” she admitted. “I thought, ‘I don’t know why I’m here. I wonder why I don’t come out.'”
After announcing her separation from husband Kyle Cook that same month, Batula said she wanted to be more social and began hanging out with Wilson and his friends more.
Eventually, Batula said she began to wonder if she had real feelings for Wilson.
When Mr. Hubbard asked Batula if Wilson “manipulated her,” Batula replied, “Those are not my words.”
“Well, those are my words,” Mr. Hubbard said. “I’m happy to own it, of course.”
Later in the conversation, Batula admitted that it was “selfish” for her to pursue a romance with Wilson, even though Wilson had previously dated her ex-best friend, Miller.
“I was just overwhelmed by the feeling that someone cared about me…a man,” she said.
Ms Batula partly blamed her relationship with Mr Wilson on her “terrible” marriage to Mr Cook, 43.
“I made some bad decisions. I was in a relationship like that,” she explained. “I completely lost myself. I didn’t recognize myself anymore. I was a shell of myself. I wasn’t myself anymore.”
“And when I went out, I felt young and like I was in my 20s again, and I had fun again,” Batula continued. “And I guess I was probably confusing dating West with emotionally loving myself again.”
Batula said spending time with Wilson gave her a “euphoric feeling” but made it difficult to “think rationally or logically through something like that.”
The “Summer House” bonus episode, filmed in the weeks following the April 23 reunion, also featured a sit-down between Wilson and Cook, Miller and Wilson’s ex, Maya Moreno.
Wilson and Batula have been dating their co-stars since their secret relationship was revealed in March after weeks of speculation.
Although the two maintained that they started dating in February and that it didn’t overlap with her marriage or any other relationships, the rest of her castmates poked some holes in their relationship timeline.
After the reunion, news broke that Wilson would not be returning for Season 11, which begins filming over the July 4th weekend.
Wilson has not said anything about being removed from the show.
Batula is a cast member of the spinoff In the City, along with Cook and Hubbard. It is unclear whether she will return to the “summer house”.
