West Wilson first told Amanda Batula he loved her on Season 10 of Summer House, which was filmed last summer.
He made the revelation in “Summer House: The Aftermath,” an emotional chat with Batula’s estranged husband Kyle Cook.
“Honestly, do you think you’re ready to settle down and get into an honest, committed relationship?” Cook, who had previously expressed concerns about his ex-girlfriend, asked Wilson.
“Yes, yes,” the sports journalist replied.
When Loverboy’s founder asked him if he loved Batula, he not only said yes, but also remembered the moment he first told Batula.
“That’s right. I said ‘I love you’ that night when I left her in charge of your room.”
Wilson was referring to a heated episode on the Bravo show in which Cook comforted Batula after she verbally abused him during a fight while they were still married.
In a scene from August 2025, Wilson is seen entering Cook and Batula’s room at night, with the latter sitting alone in bed. He says, “I love you, okay? Text me if you need anything.”
“I’m really concerned about her affair,” the Missouri native insisted to Cook.
Despite this revelation, Wilson claimed that no romantic relationship developed between him and the swimwear designer until February.
“I understand that everyone wants to go back and watch the show and think, ‘They were dating,’ and we weren’t,” he said.
“I’m not yet at the point where I can tell her or myself if I’m in love or not,” Wilson further explained. “But I love her and I do. I’ve cared about her for a long time, and it’s hard to say that to her face.”
He also said he hoped seeing Mr Cook’s concern for Mr Batula would “at least alleviate his worries” for his estranged wife.
“No matter how this happened, thank you for speaking with me today,” he concluded.
Wilson previously said in a three-hour conversation that took place a few weeks after the season 10 reunion wrapped filming, that he had “made a lot of progress” with his former friend.
“I’m not going to say[things]are good,” Wilson clarified on a May episode of the “Show Me Something” podcast with Sophie Cunningham. “Well, nothing is perfect right now.”
“The beginning was obviously awkward and weird, but… it wasn’t a gunfight,” Wilson told listeners. “It was so calm and peaceful. (We) were listening to each other and trying to get to a better place.”
Wilson, 31, and Batula, 34, confirmed their secret relationship in March, just two months after she and Cook announced their separation.
Although the two claimed there was no overlap in their relationship or any other relationship, Cook looked back on season 10 and accused Batula of having an “emotional relationship” with Wilson during their marriage.
But Mr Batula vehemently denied the accusations when confronted by Mr Cook in April.
Not only did Batula and Wilson betray Cook’s trust in their secret romance, but they also betrayed Batula’s best friend and co-star Ciara Miller, who previously dated Wilson.
While Mr Cook appears to be on the path to forgiving both Mr Batula and Mr West, Mr Miller has made it clear that he wants to cut ties with both of them permanently.
The cast for Season 11 has not yet been revealed, but Wilson was reportedly “not hired” by producers, as filming begins over the Fourth of July weekend.
