“90 Day Fiancé” producers intervened after Mido and Debbie got into a heated argument on Sunday’s episode.
Mido, 41, moved from Egypt to New Orleans with Debbie, 55, to appear on this season’s “90 Day Fiancé,” but it wasn’t all plain sailing for the unlikely couple. Mido seems to be pursuing his dream of becoming a movie star in America rather than actually wanting to marry Debbie, and he almost admitted it during the episode.
Mido attended an acting class, but had a conflict with coach Jim because he did not want to follow the coach’s instructions during practice.
After practice, Jim told the cameras, “If I were to give Mido a grade for his participation today, I would give him a C+. In terms of emotional availability, he did very well, but in terms of coachability, there’s definitely room for improvement.”
During a conversation with Jim after class, Mido asked him his opinion on moving to Hollywood to pursue acting. When the coach replied that there are many aspiring actors who fail to reach A-list stardom, and many of them have to take survival jobs, Mi-do disagreed.
“I don’t think I’ll look for another job because if I do, I might lose focus,” he said. “I know Debbie supports me, and she knows it’s my passion.”
He also told Debbie that he was unable to do household chores such as washing the dishes or taking out the trash because his “hands hurt sometimes.”
Debbie and Mido then dressed up as a pharaoh and queen and spent their first Halloween together in America. Debbie was excited because it was Mido’s first time meeting her friends, but she was clearly not in the mood. Mido dismissively said that he doesn’t care if his friends like him or not.
Debbie told the cameras about her fiancé’s sudden callous attitude: “Mido can go from 1 to 100 in five seconds. I have whiplash. One minute it can be great and the next minute it can be about anything.”
When the couple met Debbie’s friends at the haunted house, Ms. Mido was more interested in interacting with the haunted house performers than talking to her friends. The atmosphere took another nosedive when Debbie drove one of her friends, Laura, home and Mido remained silent the entire car ride.
When Debbie gets out of the car and comes back, Mido starts crying and becomes irritated. He showed no empathy for her, refused to have a conversation about why he was being so rude, and sternly told her to focus on driving, silencing her.
Debbie refuses, telling him to take an Uber if that’s what he wants, and that she can’t stand him yelling at her. Things quickly escalated and became explosive when Mido told Debbie to “fuck off.”
Debbie yelled, “It’s all over,” and Mido yelled, “I’m going home!” at which point the producer intervened and tried to defuse the situation.
Mido continues to scream and taunts a crying Debbie, calling her a “bitch”. They then got into an argument outside the car and she asked him to leave the house. After telling Debbie to shut up, one of her friends, Astra, interjects. It quickly escalated and Mido and Astra got into a shouting match.
Mido yells at her that she doesn’t understand, but she yells back, “That’s not how women are treated in America, you bastard!”
Mido ultimately refuses to get involved, sarcastically thanking Astra for showing him respect. Debbie eventually returned to her car and drove off alone, leaving Mido on the curb.
“Fuck you,” he told her one last time as he drove away.
