Rachel asked her fans to pray for children’s entertainer Danny Go, whose 14-year-old son Isaac died from cancer.
“Hello, our wonderful community of parents and caregivers. Sending so much love and so many thoughts and prayers to Danny Go and his beautiful family,” Rachel, also known as Rachel Acaso, wrote. “Danny’s precious son has passed away. We are deeply saddened by their loss and remember his amazing joy and their immense pride.”
“Let’s all turn on Danny Go today and send him lots of love, prayers, and support,” Rachel captioned her Instagram message.
Danny Go, also known as Daniel Coleman, revealed the news of Isaac’s death on May 21 on Instagram on Friday morning.
“Oh my sweet child. There are so many things I want to say but I don’t know how yet,” he wrote. “I miss you so much already and the pain in my heart is more than I can handle. But looking at the thousands of photos and videos this past week makes me so proud. Your 14 years have been filled with so many challenges, but you faced them all with so much grit…and despite all of that, you somehow retained your trademark joy. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac! It brings me great comfort to remember how much you were loved and how full of life your time here was. Being your father is a lifelong honor, I am so proud of you and I love you forever, rest in peace. ”
In April, Danny Go gave an update on Instagram about moving Isaac into hospice care.
“I haven’t updated on Isaac’s cancer in a while, but it’s still difficult for me to process and talk about,” he wrote. “But the rough update is that his cancer continues to spread aggressively and his energy levels are very low. We are currently in the middle of a short course of palliative radiation therapy to slow the growth of a large mass under his right eye, but we have moved to an overall comfort-oriented approach with him. He is currently on hospice to manage his pain. Steam is on board and we are doing our best to make sure he has as much fun and peace of mind as possible. Mindy and I are heartbroken to see him leave and we know how frustrating and scary this is for him, but we are trying to get through everything and continue to enjoy the time we still have with our son.”
Coleman’s show, “Danny Go!,” has grown in popularity in recent weeks, often ranking in Netflix’s top 10 children’s shows alongside the wildly popular “Mr. Rachel.”
