From one star to another.
Miley Cyrus was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, wearing a vintage Atelier Versace dress to the unveiling ceremony.
Her spiderweb-like dress featured sheer lace, cutouts, and a criss-cross bodice woven with metallic thread.
This sheer style from Donatella Versace’s Fall 2015 collection was worn by Heidi Klum at the amfAR Gala in Milan later that year.
Klum wore a dramatic dress with an updo and shoulder-grazing earrings, while Cyrus wore her hair in loose waves with side-swept bangs that framed her face.
“My name is carved in gold and pink terrazzo. It’s fierce, fun and amazing,” the “Flowers” singer said at the ceremony.
“And I’m wearing Versace handpicked by Donatella herself from her atelier archives, which makes it even more fun, even more fierce, even more amazing.”
Cyrus was joined by her mother, sister, fiancé Max Morando, friend Anya Taylor-Joy (resplendent in vintage Bob Mackie), and designer Donatella Versace herself.
The 33-year-old multihyphenate has long favored designer vintage in both her personal and professional lives, so the look she wore for this milestone moment came as no surprise.
“Previously loved/owned clothes = the most sustainable source of fashion,” she wrote on Instagram in 2019.
In recent years, Cyrus has culled memorable costumes from the archives of Bob Mackie, Thierry Mugler, Roberto Cavalli and more.
