Fox One does more than just stream Fox TV shows.
The subscription-based streamer, which was initially touted as a place for fans to watch Fox’s wide range of sports programming, announced on Monday that it would expand its portfolio of podcasts by adding selections from Fox News and Red Seat Ventures to the selections already available on the service, led by Nancy Grace and several sports hosts.
“This podcast expansion is a great example of the work we are doing across Fox to integrate best-in-class content from across our businesses in new and exciting ways,” said Regan Feeney, Fox One’s senior vice president of content strategy and planning, in a statement. “By leveraging the power of our partners at Fox News Media and Red Seat Ventures, we will be able to offer our subscribers even more compelling voices and perspectives, all in one place, while continuing to build a platform that delivers real value to our viewers.”
Starting Monday, Fox One will air episodes of “The Hangout with Sean Hannity,” “Ruthless,” “The Riley Gaines Show,” “Planet Tyrus,” “Will Caine Country,” “The Brett Cooper Show,” “Keeping It Real: A Conversation with Jillian Michaels” and “The President’s Daily Brief with Mike Baker.”
Fox One already offered “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace.” It launched on FOX One last fall and features new episodes every weeknight. “Alexi Lara State of the Union,” “First Things First,” “Harvick and Buxton’s Speed,” and “The Joel Klatt Show: College Football Podcast.”
Rival streaming services are also beefing up their podcast ranks. For example, Netflix announced last week that it would begin streaming a new podcast by former NBC News anchor Brian Williams. Otehr’s new offerings include “The Rotten Files,” a true crime podcast by Stephanie Hsu (known for her popular podcast “Rotten Mango”). “Shut Up Evan” hosted by Evan Ross Katz. Allegedly is a true crime show hosted by NBC News correspondent Ellison Barber. and “David Kwon’s Puzzle Room.”
