The actress, who is in London filming Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building, had her partner in mind. She wrote in the caption, “Distance means little when you care so much about someone… @itsbennyblanco Thank you 💙.”
Gomez’s shots ranged from childhood photos on a swing to new photos of their wedding weekend, New Year’s celebrations, vacations, and everyday family life together.
Blanco left three comments on his obituary: “I love you more and more every day,” “Wait, I want that cowboy costume back” (a reference to a childhood photo), and “Time stops when I’m in your arms.”

Gomez and Blanco were in a long-distance relationship at times during their relationship. Blanco is a music producer based in Los Angeles. He has also been vocal about his fear of air travel, telling ELLE last year, “Oh my god, I hate it. It’s scary. I’m in Dallas. I’m driving from Los Angeles to New York.”
He shared more about how he deals with travel anxiety in a March 2025 interview with On Purpose with Jay Shetty. He told host Jay Shetty, “I’m going to go to Europe on a boat. Oh my god, it’s so long. First I have to drive to New York, then I’m on a boat for eight days, and then it’s like going on the Titanic.”
In the same interview, Gomez added, “I’m so worried about him that I’m not sure if I want to fly with him.” “I think you’re really worried about him.”
They also shared tips for dealing with long stretches while speaking to Shetty. Blanco herself emphasized the importance of communication, saying, “I know what she needs to be successful, so I’m going to help her succeed. I’m not going to be a dick. I’m not going to not beat her up. And she doesn’t need a lot of things. She’s like the most easy-going person in the world.”
He added: “I know, yeah, she wants to talk to me before she goes to bed. She wants me to say ‘I love you.'” She told me that if I were to be two hours late and had to stay somewhere, all I had to do was pull out my phone and be done, send me an email. And because it’s natural, I know that it really helps, especially when you’re long distance. You are far away from someone. You say, “I’m not with this person.” I don’t really connect with them. “We’re not going to be far away. You shouldn’t be far away from your partner. You should be right next to your partner. ”
