Taylor Swift brought some sunshine at the Toy Story 5 premiere.
The singer performed with Randy Newman at the Dolby Theater on Tuesday night, surprising fans with a complete turnaround after the red carpet.
Swift, 36, traded in her Erdem mini for a yellow Oscar de la Renta dress ($8,990) with all-over floral appliqués.
Her hair was pulled back in a low braid, but she kept her signature red lip glamor intact during her on-stage performance.
Swift’s jewelry matched the colorful flowers on her dress, and she wore an amethyst and citrine pendant necklace and matching drop earrings.
To celebrate the live debut of her new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the animated film soundtrack, she also performed a duet with Newman, singing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” with Newman’s piano accompaniment.
“Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” Swift wrote on Instagram, adding, “Creating something for Jesse was a new challenge, but it also felt like second nature.”
Her floral performance look was perfectly in keeping with the theme of the original song, which begins with the lyrics, “Through the slumber of summer blades of grass I knew you.”
Earlier in the evening, Swift walked the red carpet wearing an Erdem patchwork minidress that boasted a corseted top and sculptural skirt.
She pulled her hair back in a half-up style with a braid and added a diamond horseshoe pendant necklace in honor of her cowgirl, Jessie.
Adorably, instead of carrying a bag on the red carpet, she carried her personal 1995 Toy Story VHS tape, which she asked for autographs from both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen.
