The Wu-Tang Clan is scheduled to perform at Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday, Page Six exclusively reveals.
The legendary hip-hop group, formed on New York City’s Staten Island in 1992, will perform at halftime of the New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs game at Madison Square Garden.
Wu-Tang Clan, currently comprised of members RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna, is currently on hiatus from their ongoing farewell concert tour, “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber.”
The group completed a tour of North America last year and visited Europe and Oceania in March of this year.
They were in Japan last month and will be wrapping up a tour in North America starting in August. Bone Thugs and Harmony will be joining as special guests.
After their final concert in Phoenix, Arizona in October, Wu-Tang Clan will be officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in November.
Earlier this year, the group mourned the death of one of its founding members, Oliver “Power” Grant, who passed away at the age of 52 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Wu-Tang Clan’s halftime show follows Cardi B’s performance at Game 3 of MSG on Monday.
The Bronx rapper performed an energetic medley of some of her biggest hits, including “Bodega Baddie” and “Bodak Yellow.”
The Knicks are currently 2-1 with a seven-game winning streak.
Knicks superfans Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Spike Lee and Jay-Z have been photographed watching games since last week, as the team’s first appearance in the Finals in 27 years.
Notably, the Knicks faced the Spurs in 1999, but lost the series 4-1.
Other celebrities who competed in this year’s finals include Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Larry David, Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni, Derek Jeter, Eli Manning, Robert Kraft, and more.
President Donald Trump and New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani were also seen attending the game.
