This “Off Campus” star is back on the market.
Mika Abdallah and Jake Short filed for divorce a year after getting engaged.
“Due to the recent attention to Mika’s personal life, it would be disrespectful not to mention that she and Jake are no longer together,” a representative for the actress told Us Weekly on Monday.
The former couple, who “will continue to support each other and maintain a friendly relationship,” asked fans for “privacy and respect.”
Abdallah’s representatives declined to elaborate on when the romance ended.
A representative for Mr. Short did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The “Sex Appeal” co-stars met on set in 2021, and four years later, news broke that they had called off their engagement.
“Yesterday was a great day celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client Jake Short and his fiancée Mika Abdallah,” Short’s manager Brian Medavoy wrote on Instagram in May 2025.
“It’s been so fun watching your journey from the set to the real world,” he continued. “Here forever”
Short and Abdallah kept their romance largely private, but they joked about wanting to get married during a July 2024 episode of the American High podcast.
The latter was positive when his partner asked, “Will you marry me?”
Presenter Jeremy Garerick sarcastically told listeners that they had witnessed “the most romantic proposal ever”.
Abdallah’s star power skyrocketed this year when she played Allie Haze in Amazon’s original hit “Off Campus” series, which is based on the book series by Ella Kennedy.
Her love interest, Dean Di Laurentiis, is played by Stephen Kalin, but Abdallah recently spoke to Us Weekly about the on-screen couple, who are “outside” of the Season 1 love story of Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli’s characters, Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham.
“When the season comes around, I’m hoping to dig a little deeper emotionally,” she gushed on the show last month. “They’re such fun characters to play. As actors, I think selfishly, we’re both really excited to be mentally excited.”
