Lorenzo Lamas has spoken passionately about his relationship with Heather Locklear, weeks after the pair’s romance broke.
“I mean, I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, but I think she’s the most amazing woman I’ve ever met,” the TV star told FOX News Digital in an interview published Wednesday.
“The short answer is no,” Lamas said when asked by the outlet if he saw their relationship come to fruition decades after he first met the “Melrose Place” actress.
Lamas, 68, also said his faith helped him find true love with Locklear, 64. “With Jesus Christ in your life, you can accomplish anything,” he said.
“No problem or event can match the strength we feel when we know we are following Christ. Even in our darkest moments, we can always rely on the Lord.”
A representative for Mr. Locklear did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment Wednesday.
Mr. Lamas and Mr. Locklear first met more than 40 years ago, when the former appeared on the 1980s prime-time drama “Falcon Crest” and the latter on “Dynasty.”
In 1983, the pair posed on the cover of Playgirl magazine, with the bombshell rocking a skimpy red bikini and Lamas donning an equally skimpy black Speedo. Lamas shared a throwback image of the cover via X in December.
In the sultry shot, Locklear stands in front of Lamas, her arm resting on his bare shoulder behind her.
“Can’t believe this was 43 years ago! By the way, speedometer only available upon request,” Lamas captioned the upload.
On April 10, TMZ revealed that the couple had been dating since late 2025 and celebrated the New Year together on a vacation in Las Vegas.
The outlet shared photos of Locklear and Lamas celebrating at Barry’s Steakhouse at Circa Resort & Casino at the time, where the couple reportedly enjoyed a romantic private dinner.
Sources told the magazine that the couple intended to introduce their adult children to each other. Locklear has a daughter, Eva Sambora, with her ex Richie Sambora, while Lamas has two children, AJ and Shane, with the late publicist Michelle Smith. A few days later, TMZ reported that the meet-and-greet actually took place, with Locklear meeting Lamas’ children over lunch and a movie. A source close to the event told the same media, “Everyone had fun.”
Earlier this month, in a now-deleted X post, Lamas shared another photo from a 1983 photoshoot that showed the two embracing intimately.
“100 years ago. God’s grace is truly amazing. ‘Love is patient, love is kind… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.’ Corinthians 13:4-7,” she captioned the April 14 post on Hello!
