Kelly Teller is said to have backed out of her friendship with Taylor Swift after learning that Blake Lively had hinted that Swift was her “dragon” during her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
“Kelly didn’t want to be a part of it,” a source told the Daily Mail in an interview published on Sunday, referring to Lively allegedly telling her “It’s Over” co-star that she had a “dragon” who would “protect” and “fight” for her, before she accused him of sexual harassment.
Sources say Miles Teller’s wife “couldn’t believe they were talking to each other like that.”
Additionally, Lively, 38, reportedly felt “threatened” by the “intimacy” between Swift and Kelly, who met in 2014, and started dating Grammy Award winner Travis Kelce, also 36, in 2023.
A source told the outlet that the Gossip Girl alum allegedly “tried to break up their friendship in order to become Taylor’s number one.”
Lively is also said to have become jealous when a 2023 paparazzi photo showed Kelly, 33, and Swift leaving Electric Lady Studios in New York City.
A source claimed that the actress is “generally not very welcoming of others into her circle.”
However, Kelly and Swift’s friendship was said to be further strained after the internet personality declined to attend an awards show with Swift for personal reasons.
According to the Daily Mail, the “Lover” songstress was “not being empathetic” and the behavior led to an argument.
“Friends have told Kelly to take care of her mental health. She needs space, but they still keep in touch here and there,” the source said.
Kelly still tried to keep Swift close, but reportedly didn’t feel like it was a priority, and sources claim the hitmaker didn’t contact Kelly or Miles when they lost their home in the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires.
“It was a nail in the coffin for a friendship,” one source claimed, while another claimed Swift was “exhausted” and “only in touch with a handful of people” after finishing her record-breaking two-year Elas tour.
Rumors of a rift were fueled when Kelly and Miles sat with Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs game instead of the pop star with fellow Philadelphia Eagles fans when the team played the Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl.
However, Miles said in an interview with People magazine that he and Kelly support their team, the Eagles, and are eager to be “in a sea of green.”
Despite rumors of a feud, the actor appeared on Travis and Jason Kelsey’s podcast New Heights in November 2025 to promote his film Eternity.
According to the Daily Mail, Kelly has hopes of reconciling with Swift but is “heartbroken.” However, she allegedly refused to attend the “Cruel Summer” singer and Kelce’s wedding to avoid looking “like a doormat.”
Representatives for Swift, Kelce and Tellers could not immediately be reached for comment to Page Six.
Throughout 2023 and early 2024, Kelly was photographed with Swift at dinners, birthday celebrations, award ceremonies, concerts on the Ella Tour, and Chiefs games.
However, the duo was last seen in public during the 2024 Super Bowl, when the Chiefs faced off against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Additionally, Kelly, who once actively shared photos of herself and Swift online, has not posted any photos with the recipient since April 2024.
Page Six also exclusively reported that Kelly and Miles were not invited to Swift and Kelsey’s wedding, scheduled for July 3 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Asked previously if he would be attending the wedding, Miles told Parade: “I don’t know. It’s going to be an impressive wedding – I imagine – but yeah, I’m very happy for them. I’ve known Trav for a long time and I think they’re having a lot of fun, and that’s what’s important.”
