Allie Simpson has been promoted to president of television at Kinetic Content, the company announced Wednesday. In his new role, Simpson will oversee all unscripted series produced in North America.
Kinetic Content is the production company behind recent blockbuster reality TV hits, including Netflix’s “Love Is Blind,” “The Ultimatum,” “The Ultimatum: Queer Love” and “Perfect Match,” Peacock’s “Married At First Sight” and ABC’s “Claim to Fame.”
Ms. Simpon’s promotion comes after more than a decade at the company, during which time she has worked closely with Kinetic Content founder and CEO Chris Koren to help redefine the modern unscripted relationship genre. Both on-set and in post, Simpson has directed all seasons of “Love Is Blind,” and before that, “Marriage at First Sight.” Simpson holds a J.D. from Pepperdine School of Law.
“When it comes to unscripted programming, Kinetic Content sets the standard,” Simpson said in a statement. “I’m excited to continue to support our CEO Chris Coren and all of our teams as they work hard to share complex, rich, and moving human stories. There’s so much more to come!”
“Allie Simpson is an incredibly talented leader and storyteller,” Koren added. “Widely admired both within Kinetic and in the community, it has been a great honor to have worked with her over the past 10 years, and we are even more excited about the future with her in this new role.”
The company was founded in 2010 and acquired by The North Road Company in 2022. Across the pond, Kinetic will continue to be overseen by Kinetic UK Managing Director Laura Gibson.
