Prince William and Duchess Kate celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on Wednesday with a new family photo.
“Celebrating 15 years of marriage ❤️,” the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote on Instagram, alongside a sweet photo of them with their children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 8.
In the outdoor shot, William, 43, can be seen relaxing on the grass wearing a polo shirt and shorts, with his two dogs on one side and his eldest son on the other.
Middleton, 44, was lounging between George and Louis, holding hands with her young child.
Charlotte was all smiles at the end of the group.
In April 2011, six months after their engagement, William and his wife walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey.
The two met in September 2001 while attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Their friendship took a romantic turn in 2003.
Last year, Prince William spoke about not repeating the same “mistakes” in his marriage that his father, King Charles III, and late mother, Princess Diana, made during their marriage.
The two married in 1981, separated in 1992, and officially divorced a year before Princess Diana’s tragic death in 1997.
“You take it (an example) and learn from it,” the future king told Eugene Levy during an episode of “The Reluctant Traveler” in October 2025. “I think we’re all trying to do that.”
William said his childhood home environment was “warm” only for “short periods.”
“I think it’s very important to create that atmosphere in the home,” he added. “You have to have a sense of safety, security and love.
“I just want what’s best for my children, but I know that drama and stress in their childhood can have a huge impact on them as adults,” William continued.
He and Middleton became parents in July 2013 when George arrived, followed by Charlotte and Louis in May 2015 and April 2018.
US Weekly on Wednesday reported that the couple is taking a “tag team” approach to parenting and “hopes to create an atmosphere of normalcy in a very abnormal atmosphere.”
The media explained, “The two have alternating days when they have official duties and days off, and they always make time to spend time with their families in the royal calendar…When they get home, they are in mom and dad mode.”
