A$AP Rocky is in the midst of fatherhood to a girl and is loving every moment of it.
At the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City on Monday night, he told ELLE that life with Rihanna’s daughter Rocky Eilish Meyers is going well. “Lord, thank you that we had a safe birth. I’m in heaven now. Life is beautiful,” he said. The couple, who made their first red carpet appearance since welcoming Rocky in September, also share two sons, RZA Athelston, 3, and Riot Rose, 2.
Rocky added, “Hey, I just want to say this to all the girl dads out there: I’m a new member of the club. You know what I’m saying? Salute me and welcome me. This is brotherhood and we’ve got to stick together here, you know what I’m saying?”
The rapper also spoke to Extra on the red carpet and revealed whether he plans to pass on his shared love of fashion with Rihanna to his children. “I think fashion is something that’s somehow internalized. It’s like they pick it up. If they do it, they’ll do it. If they don’t, so be it.” He further gushed about having a daughter, adding, “Oh, being the father of a girl is amazing. I mean, check me out. I’m glowing.”
On this night, Rocky came full circle, winning the Fashion Icon Award, a title that Rihanna won in 2014. On stage at the American Museum of Natural History, Rocky thanked his team for supporting him through his “trials and tribulations” and gave a shoutout to Rihanna. “Baby girl, I love you, boo. You won this a long time ago. Remember, I said, ‘You inspire me. I’m gonna win that shit someday.’ And look, we did it, baby.” ”
Naturally, the couple attended the event in style. Rocky wore a Chanel suit layered with a butter yellow V-neck knit and two-tone loafers, while Rihanna wore a navy Alaia trench with white pants tucked into her heels.
In his cover story for Elle’s October issue, published before the birth of his daughter, Rocky reflected on how fatherhood has reshaped him, shifting from his former “rock star” identity, which “didn’t last long.” He added: “What’s really great is raising your family, your siblings and loving them. Just being there.”
Rocky also revealed how deeply he and Rihanna wanted a daughter. “I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he told ELLE. Their third child, Rocky, was born on September 13, 2025, and is the couple’s first baby girl since welcoming RZA and Riot in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
