Bethenny Frankel spilled the royalties.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum revealed how Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson reacted to her romance with Prince Harry.
When Frankel met Engelson, he told her that “his ex-girlfriend was a woman who was on a show called ‘Suits,'” Bravolebrity, 55, told listeners of the podcast “The Toast” on Wednesday.
“I had no idea what kind of show it was,” recalls the Skinny Girl creator. “I didn’t know the woman. A few months later, I saw a picture of Harry on a date with someone and I texted him saying, ‘Is this your ex?'”
After Engelson confirmed that Markle was the Duke of Sussex’s girlfriend, Frankel asked, “Do you think she’ll close up shop?”
At that time, the 49-year-old man replied, “Oh, we’re closing.”
“I don’t want to go into it any further, but he was like, ‘She’s going to close,'” Frankel reiterated.
Mr Engelson was married to Mr Markle from 2011 to 2014, and the ‘Agree or No Deal’ alum married Harry two years after their divorce.
The “With Love, Meghan Markle” star has certainly “grown closer” as Prince Harry proposed in November 2017.
The two married in May of the following year.
The couple welcomed Prince Archie, now six, a few months before quitting their royal roles and leaving the UK.
Princess Lilibet, now four years old, also joined the family after the three settled in Montecito, California.
As for Engelson, he married heiress Tracy Kurland in May 2019 and has since welcomed daughters Grace, daughter Sienna, and son Logan.
Frankel previously spoke about Engelson, whom she once dated, on Australia’s “The Kyle and Jackie O Show.”
In an April 2018 sitdown, she admitted that after Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement, she texted him, “Oh my god, your ex is going to be a princess!”
