Tom Holland has finally admitted that he was secretly married to Zendaya.
In a new interview with Esquire, Holland was asked whether families should be informed that the AI-generated photos of the couple at their wedding were fake.
“No, because everyone was there,” Holland replied.
He added: “That’s all you can do.”
Page Six has reached out to Holland and Zendaya’s representatives for comment.
Holland, 30, didn’t tell Esquire details about the wedding, but he spoke passionately about his wife.
“Our business can create very stressful situations, but it’s really great to have a foundation of relationships that will stand the test of time,” the British actor said.
“We can support each other in a way that only we can because we’re the only ones who really understand what it’s like to live this life. I think that’s such a luxury because I don’t understand how you can do that with other people,” he added.
The “Cherry” star called Zendaya, 29, her “person” and “best friend.”
“I’m the happiest I’ve ever been when I’m with her,” Holland said. “But I’ve never felt so supported and safe.”
Zendaya and Holland first became romantically involved in 2017 after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, but they didn’t go public with their relationship until 2021.
Rumors of the couple’s marriage first surfaced in February, when the Euphoria actress was spotted wearing a gold band on her finger in place of a 5-carat engagement ring.
The following month, Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach claimed the two had secretly married.
“The wedding has already taken place,” he told Access Hollywood at the time on the SAG Actor Awards 2026 red carpet. “You missed it. It’s so true.”
When Zendaya appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” On March 17, she revealed that “a lot of people” around her were upset that they weren’t invited to her wedding after an AI-generated photo of the couple went viral on social media.
“While I was out in real life, people were saying, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos look amazing,’ and I was like, ‘Baby, that’s AI. It’s not real,'” she said.
Despite mentioning the AI photo, Zendaya later clarified that she would not confirm the marriage rumors because the couple would rather “keep things together” and “preserve (their) joy.”
“I hear that, but I also have my own little boundaries of what I want to bring up and talk about and share,” she said on the New York Times’ Modern Love podcast on April 1, noting that she and Holland aren’t trying to “hide from the world.”
Holland and Zendaya will likely face more marital problems when they head out on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour ahead of the film’s July 31 release.
On Monday, the two appeared on the red carpet together for the first time in five years at a photocall for a Marvel movie in Madrid, Spain.
Zendaya attended the event wearing a rumored gold band wedding ring.
