Lauren Sanchez is in her (Dior) bag.
The billionaire former journalist pulled a John Galliano-era Dior from the archives and paired it with similarly unusual accessories for the French luxury brand’s special dinner in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.
The 55-year-old chose a gray tweed number from Galliano’s fall 1998 ready-to-wear collection for the house. The figure-hugging dress featured sheer cream lace trim at the hemline and bust and delicate spaghetti straps.
Meanwhile, the glamor on her arm was a black Lady Dior medium bag adorned with silver eyelet hardware and white pearls from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Cruise 2025 collection.
This limited edition style previously retailed for $10,500 and is now sold out.
Sanchez Bezos is all about vintage Dior these days. In October, she appeared at Paris Fashion Week wearing another piece by John Galliano. It was a gray skirt suit from the designer’s Spring 1995 collection, sourced from Resurrection Vintage in Los Angeles.
Her love for rare Lady Dior bags runs deep. Back in July, she carried more than $15,000 worth of micro versions while on a European vacation with husband Jeff Bezos, shortly after their star-studded wedding in Venice, Italy.
This limited edition ivory leather beaded style features artist Pietro Ruffo’s ‘Rêve d’Infini’ (‘Infinite Dream’) motif and is based on a compass rose mosaic from Christian Dior’s childhood home in Granville, France.
She paired it with a colorful silk maxi dress at the prestigious Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc on Cape Antibes.
