Taylor Swift was nominated for eight American Music Awards, but it has been revealed that the Ellas Tour star did not attend the ceremony.
On Monday, the American Music Awards recognized artists from across the industry. Among the nominations, Taylor Swift stood out with eight nominations, including Artist of the Year and Best Female Pop Artist, and her 2025 album “The Life of a Showgirl” was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Album. Her song “Fate of Ophelia” was nominated for Best Pop Song, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video, and her song “Elizabeth Taylor” was nominated for the new category Song of the Summer.
However, the pop star did not attend the ceremony, which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Swift has been spending time in New York City with her fiancé, Travis Kelce, attending a wedding and several adorable dinner dates. The couple is reportedly preparing for their upcoming wedding after getting engaged in August 2025. Although she has kept her wedding plans private, Swift revealed last September that she wanted to have a destination wedding.
“You would think I would have been the type of person who would be obsessed with weddings all my life,” she said. “But the truth is, I never thought about what I would do until I met that person.”
In addition to having a lot to plan, the couple also traveled for the weekend prior to their wedding. They were spotted at the Cavs-Knicks game in Cleveland on Saturday.
The NFL star grew up in Ohio and is a huge Cavs fan. Although the Knicks ultimately won the game, the adorable couple enjoyed a sweet date night that included a little PDA.
