Lindsey Chrisley was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Georgia.
Page Six confirmed that Chrisley, 36, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office around 2 a.m. Sunday. She was booked into the county jail and released around 4:30 a.m. after posting bail of just under $6,000.
She was charged with driving under the influence, attempted elude, reckless driving, improper lane change and speeding.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum told TMZ that he plans to fight the charges, claiming he was pulled over while trying to avoid an accident.
“My car was about to hit an animal on a two-lane road, so I was speeding past the car and got pulled over. I was trying to avoid hitting the car or the animal, whatever it was,” she told the outlet.
Page Six reached out to Chrisley, but did not immediately receive a response.
Last month, Chrisley’s ex-boyfriend, David Landsman, was arrested in Georgia on charges of aggravated assault and misdemeanor assault. After the incident, the two asked the court for a temporary restraining order against each other.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, earlier this month they both agreed to a “mutual no-contact order” that requires them to stay 500 meters from each other’s homes and workplaces.
Chrisley said last week that she plans to be abstinent for a year.
“I think that’s the healthiest thing I can do at this moment,” she said on the podcast “The Southern Tea.”
The reality star has one son, Jackson, from her previous marriage to Will Campbell. The former two were married from 2012 to 2021.
Chrisley left Chrisley Knows Best in 2017, following an ongoing rocky relationship with her father and stepmother, Todd and Julie Chrisley.
Back in September 2021, she said she would “never” reconcile with her estranged family (including half-siblings Savannah, 28, Chase, 29, and Grayson, 20) after Todd said bad things about her in the media.
“Through therapy last year, I had just been advised by my therapist to not go along with what’s being posted on social media and not follow it because it’s so interesting,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “So I try to stay as far away from that kind of thing as possible.”
“But I was told a lot,” she added. “And it’s hard not to want to react to those things, because some of the things that have been said feel like they’re completely false or their intentions aren’t pure.”
Todd has two children, Lindsay and son Kyle, 34, with his ex-wife Teresa Terry.
