‘Vanderpump Rules’ alum Dana Kathan is celebrating Pride Month by coming out.
“Shout out to my fellow late lesbians!! Happy Pride!! π§‘π€π©·,” the former reality star wrote on Sunday under a series of photos on Instagram.
In the photo, Kaysan, 35, wore a black tank with the word “gay” written in white letters across the chest.
The podcaster posed on the stoop with various friends at the bar and stood against a wall of grass.
Kathan’s former “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars immediately flocked to the comments section to show their support.
Ariana Madix, 40, wrote, “ilysm!!!!! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ,” while Katie Maloney, 40, who co-hosts Kathan’s podcast Dis respectively, added, “My favorite lesbian! I love you so much!!!!”
Scheana Shay, 41, simply said, “Ilyyyyyyyy,” along with a Pride flag emoji.
Kaysan appeared on the popular show “Bravo” during season 8 in 2020.
During her time on the series, she came out as bisexual during a conversation with Madix, who also identifies as bisexual.
“That was my first L.A. Pride…but that’s also when I came out as bi,” Kathan began in the February 2020 episode (filmed in June 2019). βBeing able to do that made me feel so much better.β
In a confessional, she said, “I think I knew I was different by middle school. I just remember being aware of both genders.”
Madix added in the episode that Pride 2019 was her first “public Pride as a bisexual queen.”
“Before, when I would go to Pride with my friends, I would think, ‘This feels weird. Why do I stay in the closet every year at Pride?'”
In an Instagram Story on Wednesday, Kathan opened up more about his coming out journey.
βMy journey with queerness has not been linear,β she said. βIt was very scary and confusing at times.β
βI had to sort out a lot to get here, but I would also like to encourage others to take their time if they are struggling,β Kaysan said.
“You’ll get there, and the other side will be so amazing,” she gushed.
Meanwhile, Maroney herself revealed her sexuality while appearing on Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules in 2024.
After befriending her then-husband Tom Schwartz and a female friend named Tori, Maroney admitted she had never dated a woman.
However, she said she had dated women before.
Maroney said she “doesn’t put any label” on herself.
“I like people,” the Bravo alum insisted.
In a confessional, she spoke in detail about her future sexuality.
“I’ve always been attracted to women, but I never really acted on that because I was with Tom Schwartz all the time,” Maroney said. “But he’s not going to stop me from doing anything now.”
The former two were married from 2016 to 2022.
Maroney is currently dating Sleeping With Sirens guitarist Nick Martin.
