Luann de Lesseps brings romance and drama to the stage.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” icon tells Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” that fans can expect a sensual new chapter in her evolving cabaret career as she prepares to kick off her new “LOVE” tour on Oct. 18 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.
“Life is a cabaret, so it’s never the same, right?” de Lesseps exclusively told us. “So the LOVE tour is really based on love lost and love gained. And the music kind of surrounds that concept.”
Bravolebrity explained that the concept was partially inspired by her recent reality TV experience.
“From the moment I started doing this, it was really ‘love hotel’ (inspired by my time). That’s really where the idea came from and I thought, ‘That sounds sexy to me.’ Let’s talk about love, let’s talk about heartbreak,” the “Money Can’t Buy” singer shared.
“And the way we move places for other people (people). We move with people, we move countries. I’ve done that in the past! So I have a history and a story to tell.”
For de Lesseps, one of the most exciting parts of creating a new cabaret show is interweaving music, fashion and personal storytelling.
“That’s what I love about cabaret,” she said. “It’s a story. It’s about choosing a song that I love and (determining) what kind of story I can tell to draw me into it. And (I have to) wear the perfect dress that speaks a lot on its own.”
Fans will also receive new music.
“So we have a new song on this tour, and it’s a banger,” de Lesseps teased. “I think you’re going to love this new song! I can’t say anything else, but it’s coming out this fall, so I’m really looking forward to it.”
The nine-city trek will end on December 5th at New York City’s City Hall.
Meanwhile, de Lesseps is also preparing for the debut of E!’s highly anticipated reality series “The Golden Life,” which is scheduled to premiere this fall. The show will reunite popular original members of RHONY, including Ramona Singer, Sonya Morgan, Dorinda Medley and Kelly Bensimon.
The Countess revealed that sexy promotional images for her “LOVE” tour, which featured her relaxing in a pool surrounded by handsome men, were shot for the new series.
“You saw the cover photo. It’s me in the pool surrounded by boys,” she said with a laugh. “We actually filmed it around the time we were filming the E! show, so it’s going to be amazing!”
As for reuniting with his longtime castmates in Palm Beach, Florida, de Lesseps said some things will never change.
“The girls are all back together, but nothing really has changed,” she joked. “Ramona thinks she’s the Queen of Palm Beach. Okay, I just got married there, right? And I got arrested! That’s why I think I hit you!”
