Dave Portnoy isn’t on good terms with Taylor Swift and other “offensive” A-listers who sat in celebrity row during Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals.
The Barstool Sports creator slammed Wednesday’s star-studded New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs game in a new Instagram video, noting that he has “always hated New York sports teams and their fans.”
“I don’t know if it’s just my personality or if I’m just a Boston fan, but watching people who aren’t even basketball fans celebrate in the arena made my skin crawl on a level I can’t describe,” the 49-year-old told his followers.
Before sitting courtside with Taylor Swift, Portnoy specifically named Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld as people he “hates” in a matchup at Madison Square Garden.
“I’m sick of her. Is[Kylie]Jenner her friend now?” He also referenced Swift hugging the reality star after the Knicks beat the Spurs 107-106. “I hate everything. I hate everything.”
“Scooter Braun, I hated him. Big-breasted Maggie (Sidney) Sweeney, where did she come from? I hated him,” Portnoy, who attended with Braun’s family, continued of the couple.
He also criticized Hailey Bieber for appearing in a match with Tate McRae, pointing out that Hailey Bieber is from Canada.
“Spike Lee, I hate him,” Portnoy snarled. “Mariska from NYPD’s Law & Order hugging (point guard Janelle) Brunson. I hate her. I hate all the celebrity rows in the suite, second row, third row. I hate them all. I just hate New York sports fans. They’re so obnoxious.”
Social media users applauded Portnoy’s slur, with one joking that the B on Portnoy’s baseball cap “stands for baby” and another calling Portnoy “bitter.”
Amid comments labeling Portnoy a “crash” and “salty” who “hated” Portnoy, one fan pointed out, “Come on…you have to admit that was the best match ever.”
One person wrote, “You can hate me, but that was the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history. Knicks fan or not, that game was amazing!”
Portnoy asked an “honest question” on Thursday via his Instagram Story.
He asked, “If the Lakers made it to the Finals, what percentage of Knicks celebrity fans would show up to the Lakers celebrity line wearing Lakers gear? I’d say it’s more than 50 percent.”
The Knicks pulled off the biggest comeback in Finals history, winning Wednesday’s historic game by one point.
The 29-year-old Brunson and his teammates will be back in action for Game 5 against the Spurs on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
