Trace Cyrus is accusing her sister Brandi of renting a house that was “infested with mold” and refusing to give her a refund.
“Alright, everyone, story time. I’ve been really trying to be nice,” Trace, 37, wrote on Friday on his Instagram Story of his social media rant.
“So, I was renting this house from my sweet sister Brandi, and it turned out to be a moldy house. This is just one of the many problems I’ve had since I moved into this house,” Trace continued, showing me the hole in the ceiling of the house.
She added, “I’m having one problem after another. I just recently got clean water. I don’t even have clean water. I’m sleeping on an air mattress downstairs. Why can’t I put out an album and music this summer like I had planned? I have to move again.”
“Brandi doesn’t want to give me my money back. Wow. How many people in my family go completely crazy and do horrible things? It never ceases to amaze me. The way I’m treated by my own family is really awful. Damn you!”
Brandi’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
This isn’t the first time Trace has publicly spoken out against his family. As many will recall, the former Metro station frontman was unapologetically vocal about his disdain for his father, Billy Ray Cyrus, amid a long-running family feud that began after his mother, Tish Cyrus’ divorce from Billy Ray in 2022.
In June, Trace slammed the “Aching and Fragile Heart” singer for a trip to Italy where he attended a fashion show with his current girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley.
“This man is so hungry for fame it’s pathetic,” Trace wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the “Hannah Montana” actor. “He actually flew to Italy for the fashion show, but he didn’t want to come to Los Angeles for Mommy’s funeral while he was still married to her.”
Trace went on to claim that “even after my daughter bought me a $60,000 private jet as requested,” the country star “still didn’t show up” even though the jet was allegedly paid for.
“You’re the lamest man to ever walk the earth,” Trace continued his rant. “I’ve never thought of you as my idol, and to be honest, I’m embarrassed.”
At some point, the feud between the families reportedly became so nasty that several family members became estranged from each other.
However, in the end, for the most part, they were able to mend their ties. In 2025, Trace’s famous sister Miley Cyrus revealed how the family healed their wounds without the help of therapy.
“We’re fucked up. We’re not even doing that,” the “Wrecking Ball” songstress joked on an episode of Monica Lewinsky’s “Reclaiming” podcast.
“Just putting each other in a room to get counseling would have been a war,” she said, recalling “a really difficult…dark decade.”
She explained that although “at one time half[of the family]didn’t speak to each other,” she had “tremendous loyalty” to her mother, Tish, due to her parents’ divorce. Tish then married her new husband Dominic Purcell.
