Taylor Swift fans knew exactly what the pop star was up to.
The Grammy winner confirmed Monday that he has written a new original song for “Toy Story 5” called “I Knew It, I Knew You.”
The 36-year-old singer announced on Instagram, “This is *Toy* Story 🤠 You know it! My new original song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ for Disney and Pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th.”
“Ever since I saw the first Toy Story movie as a 5-year-old kid, I’ve always dreamed of writing for my favorite characters,” Swift said.
“I was lucky enough to see Toy Story 5 in its early stages and fell in love with it right away, so I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening,” she continued. “Sometimes you just know, right?”
The songwriter concluded, “You can pre-order now only on my site and see Toy Story 5 in theaters on June 19th ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️.”
Swift smiles while surrounded by flowers in the photo that opens the merry-go-round, and subsequent slides show off the album cover for the song’s original, piano, and acoustic versions.
She shared a link to her three collector’s edition CDs on her Instagram Story, “each with unique vocals and production.”
Swifties speculated that the reveal was about to happen when the “Love Story” hitmaker uploaded a “Toy Story”-themed countdown to her website in April.
It lasted only 10 minutes, with white clouds drawn against a blue background, reminiscent of a movie poster.
Later that same week, Swift stepped out in New York City. And eagle-eyed social media users noticed that her blue and white striped dress, red heels, and yellow bag all seemed to be indicative of the movie series.
“If Taylor releases an original song for Toy Story 5, the internet might actually break 😭✨,” one fan tweeted last month. “Disney + Taylor is a dream match.”
At the time, Swift’s representatives did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The ensemble included more Easter eggs, with Swift accessorizing with an opal ring worn by Elizabeth Taylor, who sings on her album “Life of a Showgirl.”
Opal in particular is her fiancé Travis Kelsey’s birthstone.
She and the Kansas City Chiefs player, also 36, began dating in the summer of 2023 and got engaged two years later.
The couple plans to wed in New York City next month.
