Taylor Swift spent the weekend away from the spotlight, but she resurfaced on Monday to enjoy a night out with her best friend Gigi Hadid. The singer embraced the season’s style by wearing two timeless fall trends: a plaid skirt and a peacoat.
The two stars coordinated in dark looks for dinner at Zero Bond in New York City. Swift opted for an oversized wool coat, which she paired with a matching top and navy plaid miniskirt. She accessorized with a Stella McCartney snakeskin handbag and knee-high boots, a Selim Muzannar necklace, and a cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.
Hadid wore a purple printed top, leather pants, a long dark coat, and wore her blonde hair up.
Although Swift and Hadid don’t often have girls’ nights out in public, they do spend a lot of time together in private. The two have been close for over a decade and were first photographed together in 2014.
In 2017, Swift praised Hadid’s emotional intelligence. “As a friend, Gigi is one of the first people I go to for advice,” the singer told Harper’s Bazaar. “She has an amazing ability to look at all sides of a situation and simplify it and understand people’s complexities.
“Gigi’s number one rule is to treat people the way you want to be treated, so she shows up on time (or early), greets everyone on set, asks how they’re doing, and really listens to their reactions,” she added.
In May 2024, a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Hadid and Swift’s 10-year friendship and how much they enjoy going on double dates with their partners, Swift’s fiancé Travis Kelce and Hadid’s boyfriend of two years, Bradley Cooper.
“Taylor, Travis, Gigi and Bradley have so much fun when they get together,” a source said. “They appreciate being able to be themselves with each other and enjoy double dates and time with each other.”
