Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey were photographed in New York City last night, quietly debunking long-standing rumors of a June 13 wedding. In April, Kelsey shared her plans for the weekend, which didn’t include a wedding. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has committed to staying away from New York City for the next two days.
For months, there have been rumors that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey would be getting married on June 13th. The day passed without any news of a marriage, and the couple held a public date night in New York City, further debunking the speculation. They went to see Mary! He appeared on Broadway and posed with the cast backstage.
They were also photographed holding hands in the West Village.
However, Kelce has no intention of remaining in New York. On June 3, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced he would make a special appearance at today’s Cleveland Guardians home game at Progressive Field. The next day, he will travel to Los Angeles, where he will record a live episode of “New Heights” with his brother Jason Kelce.
He shared news about New Heights in April, telling listeners, “We’re going live! Yes, we’re taking the show on the road. New Heights is live in Los Angeles. We’re taking our talent to the West Coast. We’re going to the Orpheum Theater on June 15th.”
The Kelce brothers explained that they were coming here to celebrate the opening of the World Cup. “Let’s go, America!” added the tight end.
A few days after her LA appearance, Kelsey has another big event coming up. That’s Tight End University, which will co-host June 22-25 in Nashville (Swift joined Kelsey at the same venue last year, and co-host George Kittle recently hinted she might return to this year’s event).
Earlier this year, a wedding planner debunked a popular fan theory that Swift and Kelsea would tie the knot on June 13 at Ocean House in Rhode Island. They revealed that the wedding scheduled at the venue that day was not theirs.
Kelce and Swift have had a busy week in the public eye. The tight end just completed the Chiefs’ mandatory minicamp, which was held June 9-11 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs headed to New York shortly afterward to join Swift at Thursday’s Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Meanwhile, Swift attended the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Wednesday, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Thursday.
In March, ESPN’s Nate Taylor reported that Kelce and Swift would tie the knot by the end of July, when the Chiefs’ training camp begins. There were reports that the two were planning to get married on July 3rd, but neither Swift nor Kelsey have revealed the actual wedding date.
A month later, in April, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Swift and Kelsea were looking forward to getting married. “Taylor and Travis couldn’t be more excited to start their next chapter and look forward to the day they can call each other husband and wife,” a source said.
Swift expressed similar sentiments during an appearance on the October Tonight Show, where she talked about how happy she is to be married to Kelce. She told host Jimmy Fallon that Kelsey is “my favorite person I’ve ever met. I mean no offense to anyone else, but the fact that this person is going to be with me forever every day, that’s what it’s all about. When you look at that[engagement ring]you’re like, ‘I’m going to spend forever with him and this represents that.'”
