Ricki Lake celebrated the second anniversary of his facelift by showing off the results.
The former talk show host, 57, shared unfiltered before-and-after surgery photos on Instagram on Saturday. After losing 40 pounds in 2023, Lake said she underwent a facelift to remove excess skin hanging under her chin, giving a shout-out to Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Dr. Allen Foolad.
“I had a deep plane lower face and neck lift using a mild carbon dioxide laser,” she shared. “My incredibly talented and kind surgeon, Dr. Allen Foolad, made the experience amazing. My results were amazing, natural, and long-lasting.”
“It wasn’t supposed to tighten up naturally,” she explained of the loose skin under her chin.
Lake said she was “grateful” to have had the facelift.
“I’m also very happy to see more people opening up about their plastic surgery experiences in recent years,” she added.
Rosie O’Donnell, who also opened up about her expensive secret cosmetic surgery in May, commented on her post: “Thank you Ricky ❤️❤️❤️ I did my cause for a friend.”
Back in June 2025, Lake bragged about his facelift during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”
“I think this is the best cosmetic surgery I’ve ever seen,” she told host Andy Cohen, noting that she had sent many referrals to Dr. Foolad.
“It’s amazing,” she continued. “I’ve always been clear. This was bothering me. I lost a lot of weight and this was saggy, so I fixed it.”
More and more celebrities are proudly revealing that they’ve had plastic surgery, especially after Kris Jenner made headlines for having $100,000 plastic surgery in 2025. Denise Richards, Janice Dickinson, and Kathy Griffin have also spoken openly about plastic surgery, three times in Griffin’s case.
Last month, O’Donnell, 64, explained in a Substack post why she decided to make her surgical procedure public.
“In this day and age, authenticity is the goal, and people lie to the American public about everything all day long,” she told E! 2026 Tony Awards News. “It’s so depressing and anxiety-inducing for me. And I wanted to be honest and talk about all the mixed feelings I was having about it because I think all that matters is truth and love.”
