The tribe has said it hopes to produce an animated “Survivor” movie featuring animal contestants. Paramount Animation is partnering with CBS to develop an animated comedy based on the long-running CBS show “Survivor,” with host Jeff Probst serving as executive producer.
The official synopsis reads: “Set on a remote and mysterious island, animals from around the world compete for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be crowned the sole survivor.”
“I’m so excited to be teaming up with Paramount Animation to bring you a Survivor of the animal kingdom like you’ve never seen it before!” Probst wrote on Instagram. “This is an all-out comedy about animals competing to be crowned the sole survivor. Let’s go!!!!”
Jennifer Dodge, who was named president of Paramount Animation in November, oversees the division that recently released Robert Rodriguez’s Christmas movie “The Naughty List.” Rodriguez has been developing this concept for more than a decade, based on drawings and stories he draws with and for children. Paramount Animation’s PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie will be released on August 14th.
“Survivor,” hosted by five-time Emmy Award winner Probst, is currently in production in Fiji for a fall broadcast on CBS. The series debuted in 2000 and recently concluded its 50th season with the most-watched finale since 2020.
