Nikki Glazer fled Los Angeles to Missouri to “get away from it all.”
The comedian spoke about his departure on Wednesday’s “Live with Kelly and Mark” when Mark Conseulos asked him what it was like returning to St. Louis for the comedy special “Good Girl.”
“I live in St. Louis,” clarified the 41-year-old man who suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the sit-in. “After COVID-19, I moved back to St. Louis and stayed there.”
Glaser joked that he “had a lot of free tickets” to the St. Louis show, but “didn’t make much money.”
“There were a lot of people from my high school days. There were people from my Pilates class and women who self-tanned in a strip mall. But it was fun. I think it’s okay for my childhood dentist to know about my sex life now. I think it’s appropriate,” she explained.
The Emmy nominee added that she “suspends disbelief” and pretends people she knows are “not there,” adding that her parents have “hardened souls” and that she has been used to telling dirty jokes on stage for “over 20 years.”
“When they look at me, behind their eyes…there’s no life,” she quipped, adding, “I’ll take them everywhere,” calling the couple “Nepo Parents.”
Glazer, in particular, documented her return to St. Louis on E!’s “Welcome Home Nikki Glazer?” In 2022.
Last year, the “FBoy Island” host opened up to “St. Louis on the Air” listeners about his “relaxed” life in Missouri, allowing him to “focus on[his]family while they’re still doing well and wanting to hang out.”
“Here we go…back to what’s important: having fun and eating out,” she added in a 2025 interview.
Glaser said Hollywood, and previously New York City, was filled with people who were “really chasing that position.”
She said, “Being on both coasts, it’s like you’re constantly comparing yourself.”
Glazer added that where she currently lives is “irrelevant” to whether she has A-list friends or a large social media following.
“That’s not here and that’s not what people focus on here,” she continued. “And it just recalibrates me.”
The Golden Globe nominee was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but grew up in the St. Louis suburbs.
