Melissa McCarthy made a guest appearance on Thursday’s episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” playing a professional fighter who admires New York City police officer Olivia Benson, played by Mariska Hargitay.
In this episode, Benson approaches McCarthy’s character, Jasmine Jewell, as she sits in a booth at a professional fighter trade show she attended on the day the episode’s murder victim died. When Jasmine hears Benson introduce himself as a police officer, she says, “I didn’t do it,” and then looks up to see Benson’s face and changes her tone. “I’m always happy to support Babies in Blue,” she says with a laugh.
When Benson asks Jasmine if she has seen the victim, Jasmine says, “You know what I saw? I saw you had a nice set of baby browns, and those yams aren’t bad either. Sticks like that cost a lot of money in this line of work. I think the crowd really goes for the Amazon broads. I think that’s the dominant one.”
As Benson continues to ask questions about the victim, Jasmine says her time is valuable, pushing a sign listing the prices for autographs and photos. “Really? You could have fooled me,” Benson retorts. Jasmine laughs and says, “I like it spicy. If you’re a little short on funds, I’ll make some arrangements. I know how to get around handcuffs, if it floats your boat.”
Eventually, Benson coughs up some cash and Jasmine tells her about her brief interaction with the murder victim.
