Taylor Swift paid tribute to Travis Kelsey during her “Love Story” performance at Tight Ends University’s Tight Ends & Friends event last night. Kelce posted multiple Instagram likes about Swift’s performance, including one about the moment she flashed her engagement ring during the song. The tight end was also photographed singing along to “Love Story.”
Last night, Taylor Swift appeared on stage for the second year in a row at the Tight Ends & Friends event hosted by her fiancé Travis Kelce. She performed “Love Story” with special guest Laney Wilson and paid tribute to Kelce by flashing the giant cushion-cut diamond engagement ring he gave her, singing, “He knelt on the ground and took out his ring/And said, ‘Marry me, Juliet…'”
Kelce did not hide his opinion on it at all. The tight end liked multiple Instagrams about her performance, including one that focused on her ring moment.
A video that Kelce filmed of herself singing along to “Love Story” in the audience also went viral on social media.
Kelsey is one of Swift’s biggest fans. In October, the footballer was asked about her creative muse. He downplayed the idea, saying, “I’m just a lucky guy to be Taylor’s support system while she releases one of the coolest albums I’ve ever heard and the world took notice. I’m excited for her. I’m happy for her. All this planning, everything seems to have gone perfectly.”
He added that he watched her make “The Life of a Showgirl” from start to finish. “She started doing this in the middle of a European tour,” he explained. “Everything unfolded and came together and I watched her connect the dots — from the strategic plan to what the whole album was going to be — and then I heard the music and it all came together and she finally got the 12th song and I was like, ‘It’s done.’
“From that point on, it seems like she and her label are doing everything they can to make this one of the biggest releases of all time. I’m really happy about that because she’s happy with it. She’s proud of this, and obviously I’m proud of her for going through the hardships to make her dreams come true.”
