The Met Gala is just over a week away, and the star-studded guest list is taking shape.
Page Six has learned that “The Devil Wears Prada 2” star Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski will appear, and Stanley Tucci will also be in attendance. Vogue magazine, which hosts this extravagant event, promotes new movies and even featured star Meryl Streep on the cover alongside Anna Wintour.
Sources say Angela Bassett, who made her Met Ball debut last year, and “Proof” star Ayo Edebri, who made her first carpet appearance in 2024, will also take the steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the first Monday in May.
Event regular Janelle Monáe, Euphoria star Hunter Schafer, Solange, singer Troye Sivan, and Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn are also heard to be in attendance.
Also receiving golden invitations to the exclusive event are Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, model Heidi Klum, actress “Michael” Laura Harrier, Patrick Schwarzenegger and influencer Emma Chamberlain.
Page Six exclusively reported earlier this month that other guests include Kim Kardashian, “Weapons” star Julia Garner, Hailey Bieber, models Alexa Chung, Gabrielle Union, “Ella McKay” actress Rebecca Hall and Golden State warrior Jimmy Butler.
Who is not there? Billy Porter said in an interview with “Beverations” on Wednesday that he hasn’t been invited since the 2019 event.
Mayor Zoran Mamdani and First Lady Rama Duwaj have been invited but have chosen not to attend, Page Six previously reported.
“He’s not coming,” the source said. “It would be stupid if he did that… Can you imagine? It goes against everything he believes in.”
This year’s theme is “Costume Art” and the dress code is “Fashion is Art.” This year it is being funded by Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez Bezos. They have been named major donors and honorary co-chairs of the gala.
The show will combine approximately 200 pieces of clothing and accessories with 200 pieces of artwork.
The host committee includes Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Wintour.
YSL designer Anthony Vaccarello and his muse Zoe Kravitz co-chair the gala’s organizing committee, which includes Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, LISA, and the new Vogue editor.
