Savannah Guthrie posted another desperate plea to her suspected kidnappers to bring her mother Nancy home.
Savannah said in a new video on Sunday that the family still has “hope” even though 84-year-old Nancy’s disappearance case has entered its second week.
“I just want to say to anyone who owns her or knows where she is, it’s never too late,” the “Today” anchor said in her latest video. “And you’re never lost or alone. It’s never too late to do the right thing.”
“And here we are, and we believe,” she continued. “And we believe in the inherent goodness of all human beings. And it’s never too late.”
Savannah will remain in Tucson, Arizona, and will leave the Today show “for the time being” amid a desperate search for her mother, sources told Page Six.
“The entire program and network stands together to support our beloved colleagues and friends as we navigate these unimaginable times,” NBC officials said.
Nancy hasn’t been seen since January 31st.
On Sunday, there was a major development in the case when an FBI spokesperson said gloves found during the search of Nancy matched the gloves worn by the suspect in surveillance footage.
An FBI spokesperson told Fox News that the gloves recovered contained DNA and were different from other gloves found at the scene.
Investigators are awaiting final test results before uploading the DNA profile to a national database to identify the individual, media outlets reported.
Multiple gloves were found in the same location where the FBI previously recovered a black glove that may have been linked to Nancy’s disappearance.
New York Post reporters were also at the scene Sunday afternoon when three more discarded gloves were discovered in the Catalina Foothills, about two miles from Nancy’s home.
It’s not clear if these gloves are connected to her case, but the Post alerted the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
On Thursday, FBI Phoenix shared with X that the suspect is approximately 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 tall and of average build.
The FBI also doubled the reward for key information finding Nancy to $100,000.
Savannah has made several videos calling for her mother’s return. On Thursday, she shared a home video of Nancy.
“Our lovely mom. 💛,” she captioned a post she uploaded to Instagram.
“We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and wishes.”
