Prime Video has set the global premiere of the action drama ‘Subedaar’ starring Anil Kapoor (‘Slumdog Millionaire’) and Radhika Madan (‘The Man Who Feels No Pain’). A teaser video has been released.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, known for his work in ‘Tumhari Sulu’, ‘Jalsa’ and ‘Daldar’, the project is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Kapoor and Triveni through Opening Image Films in association with Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network.
The film revolves around Subedar Arjun Maurya, a war veteran who travels the world where traditional values come face to face with modern challenges. Kapoor’s character tackles crime and corruption while dealing with strained family relationships. Set in the heartland of India, the film is positioned as a cinematic, gritty, and intense search for honor in the midst of societal collapse.
Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekhar have written the screenplay. The supporting cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik and Mona Singh in important roles.

Vikram Malhotra, partner at Opening Image Films and producer of the project, said the film features “a never-before-seen protagonist shaped by service, discipline and sacrifice.” He added that this collaboration brought together the right creative voices to truly build the world of the story.

The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. ‘Subedaar’ will be premiered on Prime Video on March 5th.
