Katy Perry has made no secret that her romance with Justin Trudeau is going well. Days after Us Weekly reported on the couple’s plans for the new year, the singer shared a photo of herself kissing Trudeau on Instagram. “Holidays,” she captioned a merry-go-round of holiday snaps. The 19th photo shows her and Trudeau hugging during prime time while on vacation.
Perry also posted a photo of himself and his daughter Daisy while celebrating the Christmas season with ex-girlfriend and Daisy’s father, Orlando Bloom.
This latest information appears to confirm what US Weekly sources have told us about the singer and former Canadian prime minister’s year-end plans.
A source said on Dec. 29: “Justin and Katy will be spending the new year together. They are so smitten and obsessed with each other.”
It’s been about six months since their first date in Montreal in July, and Perry is “really inspired by[him]and impressed by what he’s accomplished. He’s a perfect fit for her.”
On Nov. 19, a source told People magazine how good Prime Minister Trudeau is to Perry, saying the two meet “when they can.”
“[She]has a lot of fun with him,” the source continued. “That’s exactly what she needs right now.”
The month before, a source told People magazine that Perry, who announced her split from Bloom in early July, was pleasantly surprised by their new love story.
“She’s focused on the[Life Times]tour and Justin has literally made a real effort to meet her where she is. She’s honored,” a source said on Oct. 27. “He’s committed and shows that he really cares about spending time with her. It’s clear he values the connection and so does Katy. She’s in a great position.”
The source added: “Dating Justin was something she never imagined, but she is truly enjoying this amazing turn of her life.”
