A-list celebrities celebrated Saturday after the Knicks won Game 5 against the Spurs to clinch the NBA championship.
Stars including Prince Harry, Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan and Sidney Sweeney were in the crowd as the Knicks defeated the Spurs 94-90 to win their first championship since 1973.
Chalamet, a New York City native and longtime Knicks fan, celebrated on the court with star center Karl-Anthony Towns shortly after the final whistle.
“I’d rather have this than an Oscar, baby,” the actor, who has been nominated for four Academy Awards, said after the game. “The Knicks are the champions, baby!”
Fellow New Yorker Cardi B watched the game and recorded herself screaming in excitement when the Knicks won.
The big win in San Antonio came after Wednesday’s heartbreaking win. The Knicks won 107-106 in a stunning come-from-behind victory.
Taylor Swift, 36, who was in New York with fiancé Travis Kelsey for Game 5, attended Game 4 and was seen shouting with friend Mariska Hargitay after the surprise win, which the Law & Order: SVU star later called “the best night of my life.”
“I love my husband, and our wedding night was amazing, but I think it might have been the best night of my life,” the 62-year-old actress told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week.
The longtime Knicks superfan detailed the defining moment of Game 4 in a statement to the outlet, calling it “brutal.”
“The game was brutal, we were down 29 points at halftime, but I just want to say, watch this team fight, watch them fight back — see that look in Jalen (Brunson)’s eyes — there are endless life lessons there,” Hargitay wrote.
“And when OG (Anunoby) comes flying in with his orange and blue cape flowing behind him, it’s just pandemonium.”
Hargitay told the outlet that the moment will undoubtedly be “replayed over and over again, not only as an epic basketball moment, but on highlight reels of the greatest moments in sports.”
Meanwhile, Brunson revealed that he specifically looks for Hargitay on the sideline for each game. “I love her to death (and) she knows it,” he said during “The Richard Jefferson Show,” calling her his “No. 1.”
Swift and Hargitay were joined at MSG by A-listers such as Sidney Sweeney and Scooter Braun, Tate McRae, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, and Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor.
Alana and Este Haim joined Swift and Hargitay courtside in matching custom punny shirts to cheer on their team.
Brian Greenberg and his wife Jamie Chung watched the victory from their box seats at Madison Square Garden, along with KeKi Palmer, Finneas, Tracee Ellis Ross and Nina Dobrev.
Meanwhile, stars including Kaley Cuoco, Tom Pelphrey, Harry Potter star Tom Felton and Nick Jonas watched from various locations, including their living rooms, and shared their joy.
