The Duchess of Cambridge wore a brown plaid coat by Blasée Milano, which she paired with a dark hat and a printed scarf, for the Christmas service at Sandringham. The Princess of Wales first wore the coat in January 2025 during a very important engagement. She was joined by her husband and children, and as usual, Princess Charlotte was also present.
Duchess Kate joined the royal family for the annual Christmas service in Sandringham, England, this morning. And the Princess of Wales opted for a meaningful brown look. Duchess Kate wore the Blasé Milano plaid coat she wore during a royal visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she underwent cancer treatment, in January. She accessorized with a hat adorned with chocolate brown flowers and a printed scarf in brown tones. Her husband Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were also in attendance. Charlotte matched Kate.
Last year, Kate opted for an emerald ensemble, matching her Alexander McQueen Sarah Burton coat with a matching hat and green and navy tartan scarf.
The princess recently unveiled her family’s annual Christmas card, featuring rare photos of the five family members. She and William captioned a photo taken in April: “Wishing you all a Merry Christmas.”
On December 18, People magazine reported new details about Kate and William’s marriage after their cancer diagnosis and completion of chemotherapy. Royal historian Amanda Foreman said of the couple’s dynamic: “He treats her like a bride. They seem more in love than ever.”
“What they’ve been through the last few years has been terrible,” Foreman added. “It either separates couples or, in their case, brings them together. It allows them to iron out the kinks and see each other clearly.”
Kate and William have long maintained their privacy as a couple and as parents. However, when Duchess Kate announced in January that her cancer was in remission, she shared a personal message about her health, writing to Mr. “As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. However, I am looking forward to a successful year. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”
