Live from New York, Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater?
The actor was spotted by an eagle-eyed fan in a backstage photo of his Wicked: For Good co-stars’ Saturday Night Live-hosted performance this weekend, despite rampant split speculation.
Slater, 33, appeared in Elizabeth Gillies’ Instagram slideshow celebrating Grande.
The “Victory” alum covered Slater’s face with her hand while toasting Grande, 32, with champagne, while she also tagged the “SpongeBob SquarePants Musical” star in another shot.
“No one does it like you, Dingus,” Gillies, also 32, wrote to Grande. “How wonderful to see you so effortlessly put your many talents and gifts to good use. Another great story.
“Needless to say, this was the last episode of the amazing @fayedunaway,” the “Dynasty” alum continued. “And Cher! And Christmas! I’m afraid my heart may have grown three sizes last night. 🎄”
Page Six also confirmed that Slater was present during the live recording.
Instagram users highlighted “Ethan’s sneaky” in the comments section.
One person wrote: “It was so cute Ethan was there 😭❤️,” while another added: “Oh yeah… I guess she’s still with that guy.”
A third claimed: “There’s no question as to whether they’re still seeing each other.”
Representatives for Grande and Slater did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Grande and Slater’s possible breakup made headlines earlier this year after the pair refrained from showing any PDA while promoting Wicked: For Good.
The Tony nominee recently dodged a question about his partner on the “Today” show.
Asked about working with Grande in a November interview, Slater said, “I’m so proud of everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with. We’re like family.”
He and Grande were married to Lily Jay and Dalton Gomez, respectively, when they began filming “Wicked” in 2022.
The Grammy Award winner made headlines in July 2023 when she separated from her husband, followed by reports of her romance with Slater.
In September of that year, the “Side to Side” singer filed for divorce from Gomez, 30, and Slater filed for dissolution of his own marriage.
Grande defended the controversial romance on “Yes, And?” Lyrics from January of the following year sang, “Your business is yours, mine is mine/Why do you care so much about who? Am I the one who rides?”
Eight months later, she slammed the “bull” critics in a Vanity Fair roundtable about how “disappointed” she was to “see so many people believing the worst version” of their love story.
