Important details about Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s financial divorce settlement have been revealed after years of legal battles.
New court documents filed by Tatum, 45, and Dewan, 44, on Nov. 26 say that under the agreement, Dewan and Tatum are entitled to 50 percent of each other’s retirement benefits under the Screen Actors Guild Producers Pension Plan.
According to documents obtained by Page Six, the couple is only entitled to money earned during their nearly nine years of marriage.
Tatum and Dewan finalized their divorce in September 2024, six years after their split. The former couple have joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, Everly, now 12, and have agreed to meet privately with a judge if a conflict over child support arises.
Dewan originally filed for divorce in 2018. The ex-lovers went through a long battle over the actor’s Magic Mike profits, as Tatum began filming the highly successful film series while they were still married.
The actor accused his ex-lover of using “delay tactics” to extend divorce proceedings to August 2024.
In court documents obtained by Page Six, Tatum’s attorney said that Tatum “made exhaustive efforts to resolve all issues in this matter without filing a lawsuit.” They also said he “made countless settlement offers, attended multiple mediations, had his attorneys draft numerous judgments, and attempted to directly resolve issues.”
Dewan’s attorney denied Tatum’s claims and accused him of “attempting to stall the court process by blocking the release of important documents related to the Magic Mike deal to which Jenna was entitled.”
“The reality is that Channing is using every trick in the book to delay this case from going to trial. He is depriving Jenna of her fair and equal share of community property, and he is prejudiced against her every day as this litigation continues,” court documents say.
“As long as this divorce case drags on, he will continue to enjoy the unfair advantage of collecting the proceeds of ‘Magic Mike’ without paying Jenna her fair share, something he has done for years,” the document continued.
Tatum said in an interview with Variety magazine in September that his relationship with Dewan has gotten better.
“Jenna and I are on good terms now, but it was painful for our relationship to fall apart, especially when we were younger,” Tatum said of the breakup.
“We tried to keep it together and tried for a year and a half, but we knew… we shouldn’t have gone into all of that,” he added.
He also said it was difficult having to spend time with Everly.
“That’s in the past. But it’s really hard not having my daughter half the time,” he said. “I wish I could be with her all the time.”
Tatum and Dewan have both been romantically involved since their breakup. Tatum is currently dating model Yinka Williams, 26, and Dewan has been engaged to actor Steve Kazee since 2020. The couple have two children, son Callum, 5, and daughter Rhiannon, 1.
