Nick Jonas is back (solo)!
According to Setlist.fm, Nick, 33, announced his new album Sunday Best during an intimate Sunday Best brunch at the Jonas family’s Nellie’s Southern Kitchen in Las Vegas.
His first album in nearly five years is scheduled to be released on February 6, according to a press release, which he said 170 fans heard the first live performance of several new songs during his set on Sunday, November 30.
According to a release, Nick was joined by Behind the Wall’s Daniel Wall to discuss the “inspiration, story and creative journey behind the album,” which featured collaborators JP Sachs, MUNA’s Josette Makin, Blush, Ryan Daley and more.
According to the release, the album “goes deeper than ever before, charting the important chapters in his life (both celebratory and difficult) he’s faced over the past year and the new perspective he’s gained as a husband and father.”
“I’m so excited to share these new stories, candid thoughts, quiet walks around town, and snapshots of my life over the past few years,” Nick said in a press release statement. “This album has been in the works for the past two years, but it’s been 33 years in the making.”
The announcement of ‘Sunday Best’ comes just weeks after Nick premiered his song ‘I Need You’ at the Jonas Brothers show on November 17th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Before he sang the song, which he performed from behind the piano with the help of a choir, a short introduction was played in which Nick’s voice asked, “How would you describe this album to someone who has never heard your music before?”
“I ask them if they know what love is, what love really is. If they say yes, I’ll say, ‘Then you know what the album is like,'” he said before starting the song.
After the emotional performance, the atmosphere quickly changed as Nick began performing his song “Jealous.” The choir was still on stage providing accompaniment. Longtime fans of Nick’s solo career quickly noticed that he was preparing to perform “Jealous” (the gospel version). This version, which he first debuted on a Vevo video 11 years ago, currently has more than 36 million views.
Nick and his brothers Joe and Kevin have been touring since August as part of the JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour, which celebrates the band’s 20th anniversary and their latest album, Greetings From Your Hometown, which was released on August 8th.
