Former New York Magazine political reporter Olivia Nuzzi is revealing sordid details about her alleged digital affair with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she describes as having an “insatiable appetite.”
In her upcoming memoir, “American Canto,” Nuzzi alleges that the current Secretary of Health and Human Services told her he “wanted you to have my child” and promised to “shoot a bullet for her,” according to an interview with The New York Times published Friday.
The 32-year-old claims Kennedy, 71, was the first to confess his love to her and knew he felt the same way, even if he didn’t say it back.
Meanwhile, their virtual relationship was so close that Nuzzi allegedly saw him brushing his teeth and even saw his “dop kit full of prescriptions.”
Nuzzi also claims that Kennedy, who had been addicted to heroin for more than 10 years and was supposed to be sober, told her that he still uses psychedelic drugs. He allegedly even smoked dimethyltryptamine, which is “known to cause things like near-death experiences.”
The two reportedly met when Nuzzi interviewed Kennedy for New York Magazine and began a nearly year-long relationship that lasted entirely online.
However, Kennedy’s publicist denied the affair allegations, saying that Kennedy “only met once in his life for an interview requested by Olivia Nuzzi, and it turned out to be a hit.”
Despite his denials, a source exclusively told Page Six that the couple had “incredible” sex over FaceTime.
When the news of the affair broke, Nzee lost her job and her relationship with her fiancé, Ryan Lizza, ended.
As for Kennedy, he is married to his third wife, Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines, and she has been by his side throughout the ordeal.
Hines wrote about Nuzi in a roundabout way in his just-published memoir, “Unscripted.”
The actress wrote that in the aftermath of her affair with Kennedy, whom she married in 2014, she “did a deep dive into the truth” and “what we meant to each other.”
She also discredited Nuzzi on a recent podcast.
“I think you always have to consider the source, right?” the actress joked. “So we’ll start there. And we’ll end with a conversation with Bobby.”
President Kennedy has long been a controversial figure due to his discredited anti-vaccine beliefs and bizarre confessions, including having part of his brain eaten by bugs and leaving a dead bear in Central Park.
