Olivia Munn is the latest celebrity to embrace the sheer dress trend. The comedian and mother of two wore an off-the-shoulder, see-through dress at Saturday night’s Baby2Baby Gala, which left little to the imagination.
She looked stunning in a black silk chiffon dress by Nina Ricci. The thin layers of the dress reveal the black briefs underneath.
The French design look features an elongated off-shoulder ruffled top and ribbons on both sides, giving it a casual, bohemian feel.
In keeping with the look’s breezy, bohemian vibe, Munn’s long beachy waves were parted down the middle and cascaded down her back.
She wore a small piece of jewelry, as well as a $7,000 Jane Goodall Pave Olive Branch Lab Diamond Necklace from Brilliant Earth, in honor of the late Jane Goodall. Proceeds from the collaborative collection will be donated to support the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation Fund.
Mann shared her merry-go-round look on Instagram, including videos and images from multiple angles showing off her Nina Ricci bag and slingback heels.
The gown made its runway debut this fall at Paris Fashion Week’s Spring 2026 show.
Mann attended the Baby2Baby event not only as a long-time “angel” supporter of the cause, but also as a presenter, joining Kerry Washington on stage to introduce co-CEOs Kelly Sawyer Patricoff and Nora Weinstein.
Founded in 2011, Baby2Baby provides essential supplies to children in need, reaching more than 1 million recipients worldwide. This celebration will raise money to support the cause not only financially, but also by raising awareness.
Floor-length black gowns seemed to be the most popular on the event’s red carpet, with celebs like Lizzo, Serena Williams, Jessica Alba and Leslie Mann opting for the classic winter hue.
Dakota Johnson, Mia Goth and Rita Ora are just a few of the celebs who have stepped out in completely sheer dresses in recent weeks.
When asked about the negative comments about the see-through outfit, Johnson replied, “I really don’t care.”
She’s not alone in this feeling. These elegant A-listers prove that if you’ve got it, flaunting it is chic.
