For Hailey Bieber, it’s not yet time to try poison.
The Lorde Inc. founder appeared on Owen Thiel’s podcast In Your Dreams on Friday to talk about her parenting journey with husband Justin Bieber, her status as a “full-fledged Nepobaby,” the wild internet headlines she’s seen written about herself, and, of course, all things beauty.
“I don’t have Botox on anything other than my jaw because of my temporomandibular joint disorder, but I don’t have Botox on my face,” the 28-year-old style star, who has shot down speculation about plastic surgery in the past, admitted to Thiele.
“I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t get Botox until I was in my 30s. Then I would think about whether I really wanted to do it.”
Bieber added that he might follow in the footsteps of his mother, 57-year-old graphic designer Kenya Baldwin. She says she has never had anti-wrinkle injections of any kind.
“My mom is not doing anything to her skin and it’s insane,” she said.
Not surprisingly for a beauty businesswoman, Bieber is also “really passionate” about skincare, which includes products from her multibillion-dollar Lorde brand, as well as favorites like Avene, Beautystat, Elta MD, Naturium, and Koslex.
But she’s not totally averse to needles when it comes to keeping her skin in top condition, and during her conversation with Thiele, she shared some “treatments that I really like.”
“That’s why I love PRP (platelet-rich plasma), where they take blood from your arm and spin it around. I love doing PRP with microneedles. We talked about that a lot,” Bieber said.
In addition to getting her plasma back into her face with a needle, she’s also a fan of PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) injections.
“They take the blood and it’s called EZ Gel, which basically heats the blood and then cools it and turns it into a gel,” Bieber explained.
“And then you inject it. So I did it, which I loved…I injected it in my smile lines. I also injected it under my eyes.”
Bieber said the substance is “reliable” unlike other injectables because it “comes from your own body.”
“I do it a few times a year,” she added of the PRF injections. “I’ve used small lasers before, but that’s about it.”
