Victoria Beckham is blocking out the ‘noise’ from the world as her feud with son Brooklyn continues to hit the headlines.
“I learned a long time ago not to listen to the noise, not to focus on the noise. Someone always has something to say. If that makes sense, I just don’t pay attention to it,” she explained on Wednesday’s Time 100 panel.
“Someone else will handle it,” she said jokingly. “I don’t want to know. I guess that’s my way of coping.”
“This has been going on since I was 20,” the fashion designer said of the gossip surrounding her personal life. “So it’s been going on for a long time.
“I have a wonderful husband who supports me so much. We are always there for each other,” she gushed about her husband of almost 30 years, David Beckham.
Earlier this month, the Spice Girls singer finally broke her silence about her family’s estrangement from Brooklyn, claiming that all she and David had “ever tried to do” was “protect and love” their four children.
“We always feel that way. We love our children very much,” Victoria, 51, told The Wall Street Journal. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents we can be.”
On Tuesday, Victoria appeared on “Today” and reinforced those same sentiments in her first TV interview since Brooklyn slammed Victoria and David in a shocking Instagram post in January.
“We always put children first. We love children very much and our focus has always been on protecting children,” she said.
Brooklyn, 27, reportedly began distancing himself from the Beckham family after marrying wife Nicola Peltz in April 2022.
Last summer, Page Six reported that the “Cooking with Brooklyn” star was “out of touch” with his family.
The feud culminated in January with a scathing statement from Brooklyn declaring on her Instagram Story that she “doesn’t want to reconcile” with her family.
In her statement, Brooklyn also claimed that her parents never accepted her and tried to “ruin the relationship” with Peltz even before their wedding.
He also confirmed a Page Six report that Victoria “ruined” their wedding day.
Despite Victoria and David desperately trying to reconcile with their eldest son behind the scenes, Brooklyn appears to be standing by his wife and refusing to get back together.
