Variety exclusively reports that Maddie Brewer has signed a representation contract with Verve. She will continue to be represented by Fourth Wall Management.
Brewer is the creator, writer, and animator of the Adult Swim series “CHIPS.” The show will premiere in October 2025 and will be submitted to the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June. The series is described as an action comedy about Chip, a Venice Beach girl with a penchant for extreme violence.
Brewer is also the creator of BurgerWorld, a short film set within a sentient fast food empire. The film will premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
Brewer currently serves as a storyboard artist and writer for “Regular Show: The Lost Tapes,” a revival of the original “Regular Show.” “The Lost Tapes” just premiered on Cartoon Network on May 11th. We are also working on an original concept for streaming, and details will be announced in the future.
Brewer has directed short animation and music videos for clients such as Adult Swim, Bento Box, and Epitaph Records, and collaborated with studios and brands such as Vice, Nickelodeon, Augenblick, Blink Ink, Grin Machine, Psyop, and Chop Studio.
The deal with Brewer is the latest addition to Verve’s robust animation business. The company’s current customers include major animation studios including Warner Bros. Animation, Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Nickelodeon Animation Studios, Illumination, Skydance Animation, Paramount Animation, and Laika. Verve’s clients have been nominated for Best Animated Feature at nine of the past 10 Academy Awards.
