There are three good things.
That certainly applies to professional rugby player Ilona Maher, who appears in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue for the third consecutive year.
“I don’t think I’ve ever felt as sexy as I did when I was shooting with them,” the 29-year-old Olympian told Page Six Style while posing for Bikini Bible.
“I just wear a lot of swimsuits and you’re in so many cool places and exposed in so many ways, but it also feels so good. You’re almost like, ‘Take off your top!’ ”

When it came time to get ready for the shoot, Maher reached for her longtime favorite, Coppertone Sport Sunscreen Spray. This is a must-have for long days at the beach or in the field.
“I hate farmer’s tans,” the brand partner says, adding of her “aggressive” sport of choice, “I go out there, sweat and tackle. I need something I can wholeheartedly trust.”

Considering she has her entire team stealing her SPF spray – “those motherfuckers,” she joked – it makes perfect sense for Coppertone to create a limited edition Coppertone Sport bottle with her likeness printed on it.
“It’s kind of wild that you had something in your locker and now it’s your face,” the Vermont native said.

Maher’s other on-field beauty essentials include Maybelline’s long-wearing Super Stay Matte Ink liquid lipsticks in Selfstarter and Pioneer, two of her signature reds.
The athlete also told Us that she’s “intrigued by moisturizers,” and that Paula’s Choice ProCollagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer is a particular “favourite.”
When it comes to off-the-field fashion, Maher is known for experimenting with everything from bold cutouts and dangerously high slit skirts (both incorporated into this week’s SI Swimsuit Launch Party look) to corsets and crop tops.
“Wear something that makes you feel really confident,” she advised. “If you feel sexiest in a sweatsuit, go for it. If you don’t feel good in a minidress, we all know.”
Maher added, “I think that’s really important: dress in what makes you feel the most yourself, because it changes the energy.”

Given the “Dancing with the Stars” alum’s boundless confidence, it’s no wonder she’s rumored to be the anchor for the next season of “The Bachelorette.”
Unfortunately, fans may have to wait a long time to see the sports star handing out roses.
“I don’t know if my husband will be there, but you know what I’m saying?” Maher added that she would like to meet someone “in nature.”
